So first, some context. I'm Jared. Today, I'm a dad of three girls, turning 37 years old in a couple of weeks, and I used to be a weak, under-muscled web designer with a layer of stubborn belly fat.

No Longer Weak, Always Sick, And With A Belly

It took me fourteen years, but I've added over 40 pounds of lean mass while solving my annoying stubborn belly fat.

Even better, I got my energy back. I wake up refreshed in the morning, I'm funner to be around and in a better mood, making me a better husband to my wife, and I've got energy at the end of the day to play with my kids.

I no longer take any medicine, and I take zero supplements.

Skinny To Skinny-Fat To Fat-Fat

But first, let's back up.

I started off underweight. Even though I had just graduated from university, and was only 23 years old, I had a frail body. My doctor prescribed me prescription painkillers for my chronic tendonitis and my dermatologist prescribed me antibiotic cream for my acne-riddled skin (and told me my alopecia had no cure.)

Initially, I saw some fast results by getting into lifting weights and eating better.

But over the years, despite lifting weights consistently and eating home-cooked meals, my results in the gym plateaued.

I was constantly getting sick and still suffering from various health issues like acne, acid reflux, tendonitis, alopecia, and dandruff. The dandruff was worsening, leading to hair-loss and balding.

After 10 years of lifting weights, doing cardio, chugging protein shakes, and eating home-cooked meals, I started to gain a belly.

I don't have many photos of this period of time. You find a way to not be in too many pictures, let alone shirtless.

Not only did I not look like I lifted weights, exercised, and ate well—I also didn't feel great either.

Counting Calories & Macros Wasn't Working For Me Anymore

About five years ago, I noticed that the traditional advice around calories and protein wasn't working well for me anymore.

After becoming a dad, and I hit my thirties, and despite doing everything "right", I was slowly gaining a layer of fat on my belly. My strength in the gym plateaued. It was getting harder and harder to gain muscle.

Every time I tried to burn off fat with a calorie deficit, I got weaker and smaller. And every time I tried to gain muscle, I got fatter—particularly around the belly.

I've felt frustrated for years.

I've tried it all.

Counting calories, IIFYM and counting macros, 16/8 fasting, different diets like eating "clean," and many different styles of cardio. I tried HIIT, daily ab-burner circuits, and out of desperation I even tried sweat belts. (I've tried it all.)

I Started Reading Published Research Looking For Answers

That's when I started to tackle the research on stubborn fat and stubborn muscles for myself.

Every morning I'd read a couple of papers about the cause of stubborn fat and the cause of stubborn muscles, and then try and see how to integrate those findings into real life.

I've done hundreds of tiny experiments on myself, and I started to see some forward momentum myself with a new approach, and I started to share my findings with those following this Outlive project.

I'm proud to say that the results have been awesome.

After reading thousands of papers about the cause of stubborn fat and stubborn muscles, and paying attention to what works for me and my clients—it all comes down to one thing.

Chronic Inflammation Is The Problem

After making changes to my life to reduce inflammation, the gut was melting away and all of my other issues were resolving. And it didn't even take ongoing effort. It was happening all without me doing anything extra.

My efforts in the gym were finally being rewarded with new muscle.

What's even better is I felt like a new man. It was like someone brought me back ten years in terms of energy. Joint and back pain was gone too.

What is this new way?

Everyone is focused on starving themselves by playing with calories or macros to lose the gut.

Eating Less Only Works Temporarily—And The Problem Gets Worse Over Time

Researchers have found that stubborn fat around the belly, and fat around the neck, is not tied to too many calories. You can't starve this problem away.

These problems are tied to inflammation.

Stubborn fat has a name in published research. It's called deep, superficial subcutaneous fat. It's been well-detailed in research.

The deep fat has larger fat "globules," and the shape is more irregular. It is harder to use for energy, which is why we've naturally called it "stubborn."

This stubborn, deep fat is tied to chronic inflammation.

Chronic Inflammation Is Also Tied To Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Cancer

Researchers at the US National Institutes of Health write that chronic inflammation is tied directly to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

So the stubborn belly, the love handles, and the man boobs, and the weak muscles—that's not a calorie and protein problem.

The problem is that almost everybody is inflamed. The modern world is assaulting us.

Every day the body is being irritated, and that causes the body to gain a tiny little bit more stubborn fat every single day.

You don't wake up one day with full-blown heart disease or diabetes.

It starts off like a little drip of water into a pan. Drip by drip.

Imagine the body is sending a little crew of Firefighters to go put out the flames of inflammation.

They're already overworked, and the flames are overtaking everything.

Now imagine someone trying to lift weights or exercising while inflamed. All they did was pour gasoline onto the flames. They get achy, tired, and a lot of guys will catch a cold once they start lifting weights or exercising.

In hindsight, this is why I had such a hard time gaining muscle despite lifting weights like clockwork—my body was too busy putting out the fire of chronic inflammation.

Resolve Inflammation To Burn Stubborn Fat And Gain Muscle

Once I resolved my inflammation, my body was now happy and able to build muscle.

To beat inflammation, your body needs more nutrients—not less. It needs more vitamins, more minerals, more enzymes, etc.

This is why when someone does a diet and shrinks their calorie intake, they might temporarily be able to burn off fat (they are starving, after all).

But they will crack.

Maybe they catch a cold, maybe they're so tired they throw in the towel, maybe one day they can't control themselves, and they straight up binge.

When that happens, all that stubborn fat will come back.

And it'll be even worse than before.

Every Other Way Makes Things Worse In The End

Why? Because the inflammation got worse during the weeks that they just starved their body.

This is why people who are so obsessed with dieting and cutting calories just get fatter and fatter over the years.

So the new solution is to stop focusing on calories and instead focus on fighting inflammation.

Resolving inflammation resolves stubborn fat.

Resolving inflammation makes your whole body work better, and now you can get strong and feel fit.

The amazing news is that anybody can do this. It doesn't even take a ton of time or effort.

Who Is This For?

This course is designed for men looking to fix the true cause of their stubborn fat and stubborn muscles. It will give them a deep understanding of strength, fitness, and health.

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this course is sure to help you level up.

There is one note about who it is not for: people on prescription medication. For some reason, I have not been able to men predictable results while they're using medication. (It could be that the medication they're taking could be a substantial cause of their belly-fat.)

How Much Time Will It Take?

The course takes 5-10 minutes a day to go through. It will take about a month go get through everything at that pace.

You can also binge the course and get through everything in one-day. And then you'll know everything about how to burn off stubborn fat while gaining muscle.

The workouts are optional. The more time you have to invest into them, the faster your results will be. But you can also just make a few tweaks to your diet, lifestyle, and environment and coast while getting slower but long-lasting results.

What If I'm Skeptical?

Hey, I've wasted money and been burnt before too. I've spent over $10,000 on crummy supplements.
